Wonder Jam Wonder Jam is "a brand family that aid entrepreneurs in growing their businesses through a method that's smart, creative and exciting" according to the track famously immortalized by Daft Punk, harder and more effective, faster and stronger. One of them, Wonderly, builds websites as well as visual branding tools as well as membership software which helps its clients "set them apart in a crowd". I talked to Wonderly's director of staff assistant Allie Lehman and developer Matt Hart to learn more.

Fine art and work that is free for the flexibility of

"My beginnings lie in the fine arts. I was a child who did drawings and oil painting" says Allie Lehman. "At high school, I had a great art instructor who, funny and appropriately, advised me that I needed to become a graphic artist or illustrator but I did not know what those things were! I chose graphic design and went on to university to learn about graphic design."

Allie quit during the recession in 2009 and moved into support of webhosting. "It was very stressful, however I was able to learn quite a bit about hosting servers, the processes of how WordPress was created, and everything else related to websites," she remembers. "In 2013, I launched The Wonder Jam, now The Wonder Jam is our parent business. I quit my job as a designer and began working full-time in the business."

She'd been working together with Matt Hart for a number of years prior to this; Matt was writing websites and she'd create websites. In the end, they began working regularly together: "We've been working together for over 10 years. At first, we worked as freelancers. The collaboration started in a natural way. They are now focusing on businesses that provide services and building WordPress websites." Allie adds.

Matt begins: "I do primarily WordPress development. The method was introduced by myself at the beginning of this decade. Many people were offered the chance to enter the WordPress world, the initial thought was, 'We need to learn CSS in order to make the theme accommodate the proper colours'. That got quite boring fast!" He smiles. He smiles. Beaver Builder and Elementor came into play, they were able to adapt "We were able to do things in a highly customized manner that was tailored to the precise requirements of our clients, and we were able to please us with our creative thinking."

Since their initial partnership, Allie and Matt have been focusing on "going to tailor things to make sure that it is fair" according to Matt states: "We do only what customers want, and not the things that our customers do not. That's what our clients are concerned about. They don't want to feel odd. They're looking to make themselves more comfortable. Through these tools, we can achieve that."

Allie says: "In 2013, I joined The Wonder Jam with my husband , after having started freelance work in the form of a single freelancer. We also had Matt for our developers contractor. We wanted to be a part with the group. We wanted to make our own ideas, we wanted the freedom." This was when Wonder Jam was born. Wonder Jam was born.

Soil, support, and systems

"We live in Columbus, Ohio and it's an open , friendly community particularly for small businesses on limited funds," she continues. "Matt would visit on his way to Seattle and we would begin working with local customers and we would stroll along the downtown streets, as well as visit businesses we've collaborated with." The year is 2020. After 7 years with The Wonder Jam and as The Wonder Jam began expanding nationwide, they became its parent company, with three brands identical with their twin brands.

Wonderly is focused on companies who provide services, such as authors, non-profits, chefs and fitness instructors. Wonderly has an additional brand known as Basis which is focused on stores that sell products and people selling products, in addition to a distinct brand named Studio Wonder, an events space and photography studio that is located in Columbus.

The three brands give you the highest amount of creativity flexibility: "It allows our team to focus upon the objectives they would like to accomplish along with specific methods they're able to adhere to," Allie says. "Because Matt and I started working together from the very beginning in 2000, we've built up over a decade of processes we've learnt. There are photos from 2017 , of us whiteboards every stage of our work, so that our clients are completely informed.

"The Wonder Jam operates as the "soil" that supplies everything a small-scale business requires beneath the under the hood. Each sister brand can 'produce' with its own unique style and can do whatever it wishes with any opportunities that pop up. It allows all of these possibilities be open and not be obstructed by those things that can make it hard to run a single or two-person business," Matt continues. "We are a diverse group of firms that have the ability to work together."

The Basis brand is mostly Shopify along with the E-commerce. Sometime, however, customers are looking to create a blog as well as provide more services than what Shopify provides. So, Wonderly will be able help the Base customer with the procedures related to WordPress. "We have the ability to aid and assist the other members of an entire team even as everyone gets to specialize in a way that is pleasing to the person," He smiles.

"The Wonder Jam sits as an unifying base. There's no one on the top of the pyramid offering us guidance on whom should collaborate with whom or what amount of profit we can earn - it's really dependent on the manager," adds Allie. They collaborate on equipment such as software, project management systems and also an assistance service to clients. The management partners are able to schedule projects. Members of the team can onboard the project and handle all back-end administrative tasks like invoices and contracts.

"It allows people such as Matt as well as myself to be focused on their work." Allie smiles. "I consider that we've created an environment that is great to be within. We want to ensure that our clients are given the best satisfaction. When they contact us via email, they're satisfied they're getting a quick reply and feel relaxed throughout the entire process."

Matt shares a similar viewpoint: "We say we don't make designs for you. We design things with you. It's not our intention to leave for months to make something with them. There's plenty of events and we'll be able to show them how things work from beginning to end, and we will not leave our craft space to design things all by us!"

Clients and Contexts

Matt along with Allie have worked with many diverse organizations that need their websites to be accessible in lots of different ways. "Some of our customers are non-profit organizations. They tend to be extremely sturdy websites. They're likely to be too complex or are in existence for a long time. We tend to reduce or simplify the websites in order to make them easier," Matt explains.

"We're talking to people interested in signing up on an online membership site, as are people working in the field of food." Allie continues. Wonderly's clients tend to be people who do human-service-oriented work: "They're fighting for equality, they're looking to talk to their audience a little differently. It's not unusual that we work with people who have put an incredible amount of their own enthusiasm in their work, time, energy and time into their venture," she adds.

The Wonder Jam brand works for all kinds of non-profits, from big-scale charities to business owners who are one person moving into full-time work after having various job. "We've been trying to design systems that can accommodate each. We're still learning about what scales will work the best, and also what we could think of differently for situations where the scales differ dramatically. It's really enjoyable to discover!" Matt is smiling.

The author continues "With the vast majority of charitable organizations, they're governed by a system that has been established and were effective in finding the legal hurdles they needed to jump through. This is how we can make it work, as we're not trying build the wheel from scratch." It is possible for the community to change the way they frame the problem and find the context that could motivate donors to give and make the process of donation simpler.

In the beginning of the partnership and with each customer regardless of their type of business or dimension of the website Wonder Jam team has a debate about the notion of providing a positive customer experience. "A website could serve as a useful tool in getting a first purchase however it could also assist to attract customers who are loyal or acting as an advantage. It is often asked if it's a source? It is also adept in attracting VIPs? What are the most crucial individuals to the small-scale business," Allie explains.

Matt and Allie both are of the opinion that websites shouldn't try to accommodate every user and it's essential to design your website's layout. "Whenever you're building an online membership site The first thing we're considering is that the members should continue to return each day to believe it's the best user experience ever," Matt adds.

Case studies: Simi and Molly

Allie begins: "One of our clients, Simi Botic, has an exercise group and a part in Unmeasured, which is all about body movements, called"the Barre Method. Simi is so kind and is able to "Just move rather than trying to punish your body. There's a myriad of options based on the mobility that your body has."

At the time that Simi began her journey on Wonderly there were just some videos posted that were available on the website , and she was switched each week. "It lets things be more efficient and allows Simi to work within her timeframe" Allie confirms. "After about two to three years of operating, her members were enlarged to provide her with the ability to be more professional for the customers she deals with and it's a great aspect. We're delighted that we're open enough to alter our strategies when clients have distinct goals. we're simply reassessing our structure, making tiny changes to incorporate these changes into the processes of development."

Another customer, Molly Baz, wanted to move from her current platform to one which would be more brand-named and full of life. "Her branding's identity and visual appeal is unique and a part of her. The goal of her brand was to let her clients feel  as if they were part of her through that means. They received updates and recipes, and all the kind of content they're used to, but in a manner which was consistent and unique to her personality," Allie explains.

The Molly fan base has increased in importance to her. "To have the ability to position the site in a manner that fits in with her style and design and also change the appearance of the website that was "Oh yes, there's a photo of Molly Take her cookbook' to something that is important both both inside and outside of the member base. The result is many benefits," Allie muses.

"Something we've attempted to convey to our customers has been to discuss what the future may look like in terms of their lives when they're not in touch with them through all entire day. We've made sure that they've got the right technological tools in place to utilize the software we've developed specifically for their needs. Molly's situation is an excellent illustration of this." Matt agrees.

Further information, as well as future plans

Matt and Allie work on behalf of companies and sites that require "a vast lens of accessibility" to make them accessible for people with disabilities. "We have the privilege of working with really interesting people with a belief system that guides their work. It's gratifying being able to create products that cater to their needs," Matt smiles.
