5 Reasons to Join Our New Slack Community: Global SaaS Leadership --
The form that's the TL;DR for this article is this:
- We have just launched a brand fresh (free!) Slack community: Global SaaS Leaders.
- The program is open to the leaders of established SaaS as well as software firms (including founders! ).
The reason we're launching an absolutely free Slack group
The community spirit is fantastic!
No, seriously.
There are many additional SaaS and software communities in the world. Many of them are fantastic.
However, when we considered developing the kind of community wouldlike to be part of We saw an opportunity to create something completely new.
We decided to create Global SaaS Leaders as a place with five distinctive characteristics:
1. Global Focus
There were many SaaS and software-based communities that are U.S.-based or focused around an area of focus.
Global SaaS Leaders will be different. They might be based somewhere in the U.S., but our clients and the larger SaaS community are spread all over the world.
When we expand our membership We'll keep in mind creating a diverse membership as well as an international outlook.
2. Designed for leaders from established Software and SaaS firms.
The most interesting software conversations that we could find on the web included discussions about the beginning of the first SaaS company:

These discussions are helpful for anyone who is looking to start building an SaaS.
In the end, we discovered that it's very difficult to locate helpful discussions with leaders of well-established software and SaaS companies.
That's why we've chosen to build this community of SaaS people who are thinking about growing and scaling the size of an established software company and not focusing on building minimally feasible products or looking for seed capital.
If you're a life-long entrepreneur who has an unfunded SaaS which is currently generating 10,000 dollars monthly, we'd love to connect you with other entrepreneurs just like you.
Similar to if you're the developer lead for a venture-backed company that has just crossed the threshold of $10 million each year.
We will primary focus when we host the next Global SaaS Leaders: to make a place that allows you to share your ideas about the unique challenges that face your business when you achieve product-market fit and start to expand.
3. Professionally moderated
It takes a determined and experienced moderator (or group with moderators!) to establish a positive and friendly culture within a group.
A lot of what we've learned from watching the Reddit community, r/entrepreneur as an illustration.
However, even communities with top-of-the-line amenities can be unable to maintain the attention. The top. #1 thread of the year an argumentative post on the way that cryptocurrency is consuming the newsfeed

Katie Stephan and Nathan Collier (authors of this article!) is the initial moderation team for the launch of the Global SaaS Leaders community.
Together, we have over a decade overseeing online communities that host thousands of users.
Furthermore, building and launching this community is one of the tasks we are assigned to.
Our focus will be on SaaS and software and also ensure that there is no need to deal with unsolicited emails, spam and personal attacks. trolling of any sort.
4. Does not concentrate on financing or venture capital round
What ever your personal situation is, we're not concerned. bootstrapped, venture-funded, private-equity purchase, or another type of ownership.
World SaaS Leaders won't be a venue that concentrates on exit strategies or financing strategies.
Instead, we hope to create a place that participants can discuss ideas on hiring, revenues profits, tools, pricing strategies, technological infrastructure as well as everything directly related to the creation of the business of software.
It's okay for members to occasionally discuss the issue of the funding. But, it should not be the the only conversation.
5. The most supportive SaaS Software community anywhere online
Some online communities are unsafe places.
Whoever you are or your location, or whatever your background We want that you feel comfortable making posts and joining our forums.
Katie and I will do everything that we can to build an inclusive and positive environment within this new and exciting one. Also, we'll not stand for adversity, sexism, discrimination based on race, gender, or any other form of disrespectful behaviour.
Our mission is no greater than that. It is to create the most useful SaaS and software-based community available on the web.
