We spoke to Soosh about her secret to capturing the little daily moments in her artwork
"Hello, I'm Soosh. I was raised and born in the company of people. I am not a part of any religious, ethnic, or national background or other. Although I am aware that there are modes of drawing and painting that are referred to as styles, I've never really given an ounce of thought about what kind or style I'm drawing would fit into. If I would try to come up with a word to describe it, it would be an "fairytale realistic" kind of style. But speaking frankly, no style.
The key for me, as I see it is to observe using your heart as you can with your eyes. You may need some time to pay attention to the smallest of things, like with every other ability. It is important to be quiet for some time and remain present for your present. Pay attention. Observe closely, without haste.
My primary focus has always been individuals. The way they express themselves and mimicry, their gestures, their kind acts, as well as their flaws - all of it's fascinating and interesting for me. Then it's only an issue of time, some pencils, and some watercolour to dive in and bring to life those daily pictures in a paper."
