As I was researching Soosh to write this piece properly, I stumbled upon her video clips. If you've watched her work, then you'll realize that it seems as if an old fairytale is reborn. In addition, she adds her voice into the shape of stories, she makes the whole experience a complete and enchanting one bringing her fairytale characters to life. Read on, but be sure that you visit the YouTube channel with a cup of hot tea and prepare yourself for a magical fairytale night.

We spoke to Soosh what she believes is the most important thing to capture the smallest moments of everyday life through her art

"Hello, I'm Soosh. I was born and raised in the company of people. I am not a part of any country, nationality, religion or any other. I am spending my life looking at people, myself and others and analyzing the particulars of each. This is a difficult path. I haven't chosen it deliberately, but I am on the path. When it comes to conventional art education I don't have any.

Though I'm aware there are various styles of painting and drawing that are referred to as styles, I've never really given any thought to the type or style I'm drawing be able to qualify as. If I were to come up with a word to define it, it would be something like a "fairytale realism" type of style. But speaking frankly, no style.

The key for me, as I see it is to observe with your heart as much as you do with your eyes. It may take some practice to pay attention to the smallest of details, just like any other skill. The trick is to remain silent for a few minutes and be very much present in the present moment. Pay attention. Observe closely, without haste.

My focus has always been the people. Their facial expressions, their mimics, their gestures, their actions of kindness and their flaws - all of it's so intriguing and fascinating for me. Afterwards, it's just an issue of time, some pencils, and a few watercolours to get in and bring to life the everyday images on paper."
