May 12, 2022

Paul Choi is a Senior Community Manager for . This spotlight will be turned to him via our blog in order to showcase his role at , a important moment in Asian American and Pacific Islander culture, as well as more!

Can you elaborate on what you do here in the HTML0 ?

As part of our Community Team, we oversee our oversight of the Hero Community and other community powered tools and programs. Our aim is to bring together our customers across the globe and assist our Heroes to become successful entrepreneurs by providing community-based programmes and tools.

What's an accomplishment in your professional life that you're particularly happy about?

How has your cultural personal identity affected your experience with technology?

I think that's something that I'm striving to find out more about myself.

Are you part of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and , if yes, what is it to you?

It's not specifically AAPI Heritage Month, but when I was a kid, I was a part of Korean celebrations of tradition and culture which included celebrations and various other events. Like many other people, have learned how important these cultural moments and events can help in understanding the notion of belonging and the concept of identity.

Do you have a story to share about an event, or even someone from AAPI the past who was significant to you?

The most significant would have to be my parents, and the numerous families in the community of immigrants that left to search better opportunities elsewhere. It's a bit mind-blowing to contemplate the kind of problems faced by the earlier generation had to face as members of the AAPI group faced. Also, I have to say that I will never forget what an adventure Linsanity was...so thanks for that Jeremy Lin!

What are the ways you can join your participation in AAPI the group?

I generally seek out communities within my work environments where I spend the bulk times. So, during my college times, I participated in numerous activities with KSA (the Korean Students Association), and at prior jobs, I've participated in a variety of AAPI particular ERGs.

What are you most enthusiastic about doing in your job ?

The best part about the work I do is certainly the team and people with whom I am able to collaborate with. I am truly grateful for the warm and accepting atmosphere that's been created, and seeing the love that's shown in the products we sell and our clients is truly an inspiring experience to work in.

Do you have additional information you'd like to share about this subject with readers of the blog?

An unabashed invitation to all of our clients to join the Hero Community! We'll be working building an active and enjoyable user experience available to our users and would love to meet members of the group!
