When faced with challenges, Danica has a drive to Act in a hurry, taking responsibility and identifying solutions to help ensure the success of the projects she is involved in. Our Vice President of People & Culture, Louise Cherry Barber has sat in (virtually) to chat with Danica about her honors as well as her time at .

Louise Cherry Barber: Danica I am pleased to announce that you have been selected as the Springie Award Winner for our 3rd quarter of 2023! Tell me, what does it mean for you to receive this Springie Award here at ?

Danica LarsenIt is really satisfying and, like, genuinely heartwarming to know that I had bring a bit of myself and my unique persona throughout my day. It was also nice to realize that people had seen it, and was greeted and acknowledged with a positive attitude and it wasn't just for achieving a specific amount, which was the way I was recognized and other workplaces that I've worked at, but due to the individual I am as well as the achievements I've accomplished outside of just one dedicated number. It was really nice to be acknowledged as an individual. I found that really heartwarming.

Louise Cherry Barber: It's amazing and merited. And one thing I am curious about, I'd love for you to talk about your top moments, that is, the ones you heard about. you heard, but even specifically working on the project you did on the benchmarking initiative has been praised by some people. Tell us more about it?

Danica Larsen:Yes, I put in so much work, like I'm so excited to have it acknowledged. I think I was somewhat surprised to see the benchmarking initiative is one of the things that was called out as a result of the fact that we're in the early stages of the process, and there's still a lot of work to be done. So I'm thrilled that everybody's excited about the initiative. Since it's likely to bring so much value, I really hope it's going to provide so lots of value not only to us as a corporation, but for our, clients, sellers, as well. And we'll help with the ideal scenario of giving us some insights into how we can grow over time, what we're seeing works well for us as a way to make it a hit. So seeing that called out in the initial phase of, you know, such as beta stage was amazing, as it means that others are seeing the benefits too.

Louise Cherry Barber: Recently, we updated our values for the company to Create a difference Learn to understand and act with urgency. I'm curious about your thoughts on the updated values.

Danica Larsen What they are is doing the right thing knowing what is the proper thing. So actually investigating, digging into that, and acting swiftly and making a choice. And I genuinely can stand in that daily... And when I look around at the others, on the Support Team as well and I'm referring to the fact that they live the principles with our clients and with the buyers every day. They're at the forefront of the field, seeking understanding and acting swiftly, as part of if they cannot accomplish these things. When we fall apart as a company, nobody will continue to work with us.

Louise Cherry Barber:What suggestions can you offer to people across ? Who would like to live these values? Do you have any advice on how to make those come to life?

Danica Larsen: It's only me -- you know, I speak only from a personal perspective. However, I believe the most important thing is to be as attentive as is possible. When you're working with the various accounts, the companies and sellers, everyone that we're working with, being aware of their needs and what's driving the true motive behind the need that determines what we can do and how we should be acting. This is the "seeking understanding" and you can't do it without paying attention. That's my number one tip for success: just to listen to others.
