Collage art - The CreativeMindClass Blog
The other day, I discovered Olga posting Instagram stories of my childhood neighborhood. Within Warsaw's concrete jungle is a lesser-known, sacred green area. I would visit it during the summer months to gaze at beautiful old pine trees and take a breath of the natural world within my urban lung. In her story, Olga visited this area in her first visit, but she was also captivated by one of the longest gardens in Warsaw. It is my bet she will create an inspired Boernerowo painting.

We talked to Olga about the key to creating her minimalist collages and paintings of human-shaped landscapes
"My Name is Olga Szczechowska, and I'm living in Warsaw. From the time I was a kid, I've drawn and painted plenty. I attended the art high school, and took classes in painting and Cultural Studies at the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Torun.

I'm a painter, illustrator, and sometimes a graphic designer. In my practice, I examine the interplay between humankind and nature by paying close attention to how we influence nature in our own backyards. When I look at hedges that have been trimmed or decorative plants as well as carefully designed gardens for homes I'm capturing the eerie nature of our immediate surroundings."

"For many years, I've created minimalist collages. The collages are in the form of landscapes and still lifeor created as a result of experimentation with forms, textures and colors.

My style is heterogeneous because painting and collages are very different, but they have one thing in common: they soothe. I've heard the term "soothing" often from my fans and think it best describes the nature of my art. When I'm bored of painting, I make collages. The reverse is also true. The one style serves as an way to escape the different.

It is my opinion that observation is the most important thing. I pay attention to everything I see, including the environment, architecture and objects. All this is reflected in my work. Through my work, you don't see any human being, but we can feel the sense of humans in the hedges that are trimmed or in a cup left on the table."
