Fantasy illustration The CreativeMindClass Blog

Mar 16, 2022

What would you say about the fashion you like?

It's somewhere between stylized and realistic fantasy illustration. I use a lot of shades that are soft and watery , and I prefer using organic and flowing shapes. My "style" as an artist of the fantasy genre is mostly dependent on my color choices and what subject matter I draw, but not always how it's drawn. I was previously working with the more straight line approach, however I've been transitioning into a looser and more painting-like style.

How do you create the most imaginative art illustration?

I'm mulling over them until it appears to be closest to what I envision the picture in my head (within reasons, else I'd devote months to one painting). I try really hard to make my forms more complex to create a mediocre illustration. I'd rather spend a long amount of time getting the perfect dream image rather than rushing through the process.

Where are the most appropriate places to show your fantasy artwork?

I'll be part of the upcoming "Oceans and Currents" exhibition in Gallery Nucleus on July 1st! At present, I'm on Instagram. Prints are available for sale on my store online Bandcamp if anyone would be inquiring!

Also, I have YouTube and Bandcamp. Youtube website and Bandcamp to those who are curious about the music I'm making available because I'll be releasing more songs very shortly.

Brigitte's Background

I graduated from The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and I currently work in the entertainment art industry as a conceptual artist and illustrator. Additionally, I am working on an art project known as Pearl Farm in which I draw drawings. I also compose and sing my own original songs.

Illustrations for the article are taken of my own project Pearl Farm. This is my story that I wrote. It follows an artist who is traveling known as Vinny along with her pet Ray Hubble while they journey their way through the world called The Lofty Coastline.
