How to share a private video link

Since the dawn of our universe ruled by unicorns We've tried our best to give video creators as much control over their video as they canin particular with regard to privacy. In addition to the private and public settings, we've provided creators with additional options, such as creating a password, only giving specific users access to their videos or preventing their video from .com yet being able to embed it onto other websites. This morning, we've added another feature, one that's been specially requested by our users that allows sharing a video through unlisted links.

How it works:

1. if you are a Plus user or have a higher-tier paid membership, visit your settings for videos and then select "Only people with the link or embed code are able to access." Or, select this option when uploading.

2. When you've saved your changes and save them, you'll receive an embed code that you can copy and send to people whom you wish to.

3. Only people with this URL (and anyone else they are sharing it with) will be able to view your page. It'll be hidden from other channels, groups as well as search results and other websites that are on .com as well. People won't be able to find it through third-party search engines as well.

Unlisted link sharing, like our other advanced privacy settings are only accessible to Plus members and over. As always, Basic members can still select to allow specific users access to their videos, add a password to protect them, or upgrade to make use of all our advanced privacy features.
