The following is our first interview with illustrator, designer, artist, and educator Maia Faddoul. Maia is a first-generation Canadian artist who operates at her Montreal studio. There she draws vibrant and vibrant illustrations for packaging publications, and various other. Her style is high-contrast, vibrant, and striking often with a subdued messages of social equity concealed within.
Maia is a fervent colour lover and somewhat an extreme with her style of painting. Maia uses her art to convey her convictions, to speak out on injustices, and raise awareness about issues that are important for her. My art is colorful vivid and vibrant with a subtle social justice message hidden somewhere. I am a total color-lover and kind of a minimalist with regards to my art style.
What's the secret in creating your illustration?
A major aspect of my art is the creation of artwork that is reflective of my values and values. I'm not exactly the most outgoing or vocal person, so I tend to make use of my art work to voice my views, express my opinion, shout out about injustices and spread awareness to causes that mean much to me.
