Skateboarder and community organizer Briana King puts their passion for the sport they love and their community first. Making a living out of those passions came organically for Briana since the way they describe it to their friends "I've done everything out of passion and enjoyment, not because I needed it to have something of any kind."

Find out the ways Briana leverages the website as well as social media channels to remain connected to their skateboarding community online and offline.

The creation of community by means of products

For Briana the website displays all aspects of their business in one place such as skate meets, items available for purchase, as well as links out to their thriving group of fans on social media.

"It provides me with a platform to share my ideas as well as future meetings," Briana states on their website, "but it also motivates me to start looking into the possibilities of new concepts."

One of the concepts was the idea of launching their online store, where they sell skate-related merchandise. Briana considers the products another way of connecting to their local community by offering the community "something that makes them happy or smile."

Briana is even working with the services of a skateboarder to run the e-commerce business. "I believe we need to support the community in every possible way. Everything I ever do goes back into my community."
