More control over Community notification -- for you and
The community's notification settings are updated to provide a improved user experience (and lower email messages). Here's what's new.
How can you let members know what's happening within your neighborhood?
You want to let your clients know about new discussions and encourage them to participate in more discussions. However, you need to give the users control over their experience and avoid notification overload. Additionally, we have learnt from our designers that it is crucial it is to find the perfect level of balance.
In the most recent update to community-based features, you and your members have more control over messages. That means livelier discussions without the need to be flooded by messages, and a social platform that brings participants and you closer to one another.
You can set your own notifications settings for a creator member
Community members and creators are now able to choose the notifications they'd like to get for each topic. These include updates to posts, responses to your feedback, or responses to feedback from you.
When you log into the community you are a part of go to Settings Then click "Edit" next to Notifications. (Creators will see the option to edit notifications in the Notifications section in the Account Settings.)

The site will display all community topics you follow. Just check or uncheck boxes to select the type of alerts you'd like to receive for each topic.

In this case, for example, you might want to be notified of updates on postings, comments and replies in the context of time, such as live Events and Announcements. For other topics it is possible to be only notified whenever someone publishes an announcement - or eliminate announcements for that subject completely.
It is also possible to turn the notifications on or off using the click "Mute all" and "Unmute the whole".
Additionally, you are able to alter your notifications per-topic quick from either your "All topics"page or an specific area page. Hit the bell icon and choose the notification you prefer to use. settings.

Set default notifications for a topic
Creators can also set default notification settings to each section of your community. This allows you to have more control over the user experience.
Instead of sending notification emails to your subscribers for each article in each topic You can choose the subjects that you notify your subscribers about and which messages they get.
Here's how:
On the Community section on your dashboard, choose "All topics". Next, select the "..." following to the topic that you wish to change and select "Edit Topic". There, you can select the settings you want to receive notifications from under "Default notification settings".

Users may alter the notification settings at any time to suit their accounts. If they haven't altered their settings, the settings will default to the ones created by the person responsible for creating each topic.
