Oct 14, 2022

It's likely that you've known someone who could not be able to finish their project because they believed that every aspect had to be perfect. But, perfection doesn't exist (truly). That's why many the projects remain unfinished, either on their laptop or their studio. It is possible that some consider their time wasted because there is no way to truly appreciate what the creator has created.

Perfectionionism is a significant obstruction to both creators and entrepreneurs. In a study conducted by the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, perfectionism is linked to "feelings of inadequacy, guilt or guilt, indecisiveness anxiety, guilt for procrastination, shame and an insecure self-esteem." The result is that individuals struggle to get ahead in their career or task - which is often referred to as the paralysis of perfection. What can you do to overcome this?

Letting go of perfectionism and adjusting to a more realistic standard of when something can be made available for consumption by the public is not easy. To help you do this we asked two expert experts to talk about their experience with conquering their anxiety of perfectionism at a virtual summit held on August 20, 2022. Check out the video below:

Before we get into the strategies, we invite our panelists to meet us:

Steve Harris is a global business coach, who assists top performers and organizations bridge the gap between their capabilities and actual performance. Self described as "ruthless" He's enjoyed working with over 1000 clients and helped them complete their work to get outstanding results.

The answers have been edited to ensure absolute clarity.

What is the reason the people are so obsessed with perfection?

Have you ever overcome the your perfectionist phobia?

Digital products don't need to be perfect, however they still need to reach the required level of quality before they can be sold. Can a designer define their own standards and set the highest standard, which will benefit their company and their image?

Grace states:

"Consider how it represents the amount of information and information you're going to share? Does it convey an accurate picture of the services you provide? Also, things like making sure when you're making an edit to a document or copy that your audio is of top quality and video. All those things that are will make your users experience as enjoyable as feasible.

In my opinion, the most important thing is to go to the next level. You don't need a huge production team to make an excellent video. It's possible to create a fantastic video using your iPhone. Make sure that the background isn't there and that the audio quality is good.

What's the first step that an expert creator could take to help them create the first digital item?

   Steve says:

"I find that a lot of business owners are consumed in their messages and are not considering the market. It is important to ask whether there is an audience for my product? How can you identify if there's any market to your message?

It's really quite simple - you can ask questions about:

  1. What's the challenge that my passion or voice to solve can contribute to solving?
  2. Who is the person who has the issue and who needs this solution?
  3. What are the folks you're required to help?
  4. What are the best ways to locate these?
  5. What will they do to locate you?
  6. What is their budget? able to spend?
  7. What is the reason anyone ought to choose you more than one of the million alternatives to choose from?

It can assist you in spreading your knowledge to the world (finally!)
