Are you curious about what happens after the initial black hole is revealed? Its Staff Pick premier, "O Black Hole!" composed by Renee Zhan is an enormous and a reversal of fundamental beliefs. It is one of the most obscure entities that exist in the world by using color, clay and even music. The origins question to the existence of the black hole - and its conclusion, the black hole -- was conceptualized by Zhan in a period that was brimming with imagination and creativity.

In order to protect and preserve the beauty of her surroundings, a gorgeous young girl known as Eve chooses to eat all things she loves. Through a chaotic, fast method, the pace and velocity of her consumption creates a black hole through that everything becomes locked up. The worm devours the seasons of the year, planets, and seasons in addition to moons and humans, attempting to live forever. When it awakes in the depths of the black hole, the character called"the "Singularity" encounters creatures that require assistance. They want her to go into the highest point of the mountain and convince the being who created it that they must allow them to live their lives their manner, or the world is going to be over.

"O Black Hole!" is a tale of fables that focus on the importance of holding on to things that which you love for a prolonged duration. The vibrant paintings and images made of clay create pictures of embracing the fleeting as well as accepting death's immutability.

There's so much about this movie craft the story; It was a privilege to talk with animator and director Renee Zhan, to break down the numerous concerns we asked about the film. Learn more about her answers:

On inspiration:

"A vast majority of my films show at least at least two distinct images in my mind. In the past, I was drawing the female form making dark charcoal marks at the location where her face was intended to look like. I spent many hours looking through the sketch and trying to figure out the person she might be. Then it became clear that her head was dark.

The movie is about an individual who is so concerned over the speed of her life that she sucks everything and everyone she loves inside her body to keep them secure for the remainder of her existence.

She's an absorber of all the universe, and eventually she's dancing with her friends.

"The black hole goes around in circles which are clockwise, as opposed with Time After Singularity has saved those living inside the black hole. They move clockwise as a natural cycle of the universe. It's a new beginning. "

HTML1Utilizing 2D and 3D methods:

"I've always been a huge fan of films that incorporate multi-media and love using visceral textures as well as traditional media. I was of the opinion that the tale about the Black Hole corresponds to the difference between media in 2D as well as 3D.

The black space, where the regular time occurs, could be depicted in 2D with charcoal and pencil and oil paint and watercolor since it's fleeting, inexpensive. In the black hole, everything that the black hole absorbs in her , and creating the three-dimensional solid.

As Singularity moves across the dark hole to the top of it, the walls of the black holes begin getting more liquid as the grip by the black holes gets less secure there. I would like all media to be flowing together into one and seamlessly transition between 2D to 3D prior to returning back to 2D.

It's important that I leave space for thought and experimentation when making a film to figure the details out in the process. Making the inside of a dark space was an interesting idea as there's no way to know the way this might look. Production designer Richard Henley and I had the freedom to be totally inventive. It was an opportunity to make an aesthetically unique and fascinating environment. The idea was to create the product of a succession of dark caves like liquids, which solidified after freezing . "

Her initial concept was against. Final cut:

"When we started filming I didn't know how the final product would come out in the end. I'd not worked on stop-motion before, or created anything that large.

In some ways I was disappointed in the fact that I could not achieve the look exactly the way I wanted it to be. I felt that my work was not good enough, as it was chaotic and rough. This is odd because I love to see these kinds of imperfections and roughness when I watch stop-motion films, but for my work, I was so angry about the messiness.

Another way , I was amazed by the work we had created. The compositions of Harry Brokensha and epic sound design by Ed Rousseau were beyond what I ever could have imagined.

Lore Lixenberg's incredible vocals as Black Hole as well as Emmy's unadulterated voice as Singularity added a significant impact to the song's composition.

We can all say that we're satisfied with the work that we did in the team. "

focused on mythological and human elements she explores within her work.

"I'm fascinated by the myths of creation that are prevalent in the world. They pose existential questions for humans and try to tackle these issues through telling epic tales about wings of flying birds or spirit creatures from nature. Mythology often includes big epic tales about heroes, adventures, and even a journey. It's part of our determination to know what the significance of this world around us.

At a more intimate level, this is my goal by making films. In my films, I'm investigating my own fears and obsessions. Also, I'm analyzing my own anxieties. In "O Black Hole! I imagined the film as a modern-day mythology of the creation. I wanted to create an animated movie that addressed philosophical questions that I have personally in addition to an interesting story-based film that tells a quest and a crazy operatic score ."

within the context of problems that came up during the film's creation

"This was the most challenging film ever produced. A 16-minute stop-motion/2D musical featured a character sporting a strangely long, curly, and wavy hair (that would melt midway through!) produced on a tight deadline it was an awful month. I could go on and on about the challenges. It was a lot to pack into a short film. Yes, I'm happy to have had the opportunity to make a film of such quality along with an amazing group of people. It's my hope that I'll get many occasions like this within the next few years and I'll be able to create films again together with fellow filmmakers ! "

The context is "O The Black Hole! :

"The final lines of the film are "O dark hole, do not cry. It's just a dream the universe has imagined." ...' The principal theme of the film is the power of transformation. The woman inside the black hole gets engulfed by the whole universe within her, because she is afraid of what could happen. The universe's singularity shows her that the process of change gives new significance and meaning to our daily lives here.

The film, I feel it is trying to show that the world evolves and undergoes dying while amazing and new things emerge and evolve that look stunning and ordinary. This is the message viewers will get. Sincerely, I'm still trying to convince myself ! "

Her suggestions (or the lack of it)) to filmmakers looking to create films:

"Maybe you could follow your teachers and become engineers instead. No, I'm kidding! Just kidding! I'm not sure that it is, however it looks that I'm an aspirant film maker too. It could be that I'm in the need of guidance also . "

The next step

"I'm working on a live-action/animation hybrid horror-comedy short film with BBC Films. The story is about a Chinese-born British violinist named Fei whom's life is turned upside down after she experiences the arrival of a talented violinist named Mei.

And I'm also developing an idea for a feature animation film that focuses on the cult of people who worship the birds! "
