The (Immediate) Future of E-Learning The (Immediate) Future of E-Learning
In my opinion that the future of online learning is based on the personality of those who take part. Innovation and novelty in e-Learning is still a concern for baby boomers and members of"the echo generation", the most recent entrants to corporate America are aware that they've "been there been there, been there". It's not new to them in fact, they've been using e-Learning for a long time. A lot of school districts include some dimension of e-Learning in their curriculums already. Universities have adopted this approach in the past, and remote learning is now considered to be a normal practice.
As e-Learning has become a normality, it's becoming accepted. Due to the proliferation of social media, and the other exciting technologies of the moment, the field of online learning is likely to become outdated by the same standards, especially if it is simply an unchanging, linear course. The learners (especially those of the younger generation) are drawn to alternatives and require control over their education. All the bells and sounds of technology may not be as appealing in the same way as the actual experience.
The bottom line is that a careful balance must be found between "entertaining" as well as "effective" digital learning. It's the future of learning. Designers who understand the idea will be able to make income. Others who believe that the creation of courses that require only the click of a button suffices will disappear slowly. Learning regardless of the form such as e-Learning must be focused on the student as much as the information. It is possible to create an unforgettable learning experience, and the participants are more likely remember the information.
The most experienced veterans of corporate learning will tell stories of the training sessions that they conducted and the clear slide presentations they designed to work with overhead projectors (remember the things you saw? ) and the unfortunate fact of geographical limitations, although nothing can truly be able to replace the superior learning that comes through a live-learning event, how we conduct online learning in the coming years is likely to go through many changes to enhance the effectiveness of learning retention.
